The LeeVees

I went to an awesome free Channukah concert tonight. It was sort of a private concert sponsored by the UW Hillel. The band was The LeeVees, which consists of the lead singer from Guster, a guy who plays in a band called The Zambonis which plays only songs about hockey, and two other guys all of whom are pretty awesome musicians. This band exists essentially only during Channukah every year, during which they play a whirlwind tour of the U.S. It was snowing outside, but it was warm and cozy inside. The concert started with the lighting of some Channukah candles. Then they proceeded to play a whole lot of fun, mostly Channukah themed songs. Including "How do you spell Channukah?" They did a lot of musical improvisation as well. Instruments were swapped, a banjo was played. A good time was had.
