Spring Chicken Regatta

I raced in the Spring Chicken Regatta on Saturday. I'm really slow, and I have no idea why. We did 6 races. There were 10 people racing. I came in tenth in four of them. I think I came in 7th in one and 9th in another. I'm under the impression that I understand sailing, but that impression may be wrong.
